How to browse, analyze and understand Ethereum smart contracts with FreeBlock Tools — and what is coming next on the roadmap.

MVP · Ethereum Contracts
Live on mainnet
01

Overview

FreeBlock Tools is a smart contract intelligence platform. The current MVP focuses on Ethereum mainnet contracts — browse the directory, analyze new addresses, and read AI-assisted risk summaries.

Available now
  • Browse indexed Ethereum smart contracts
  • Analyze a new contract by pasting a 0x address
  • Review safety scores, verification status and proxy detection
  • See detected risk flags with severity and descriptions
  • Read AI-generated contract summaries and FAQ answers
  • Explore the public Risk Flags directory with occurrence stats
Roadmap
  • SoonToken directory with liquidity and holder analytics
  • SoonWallet address profiling and activity history
  • SoonStandalone Risk Scanner for any address on paste
  • SoonMulti-chain support (Base, BSC, Arbitrum and more)

The platform helps identify potential risk signals. It does not guarantee that any contract is safe to interact with.

02

How to Use

Step 01

Search or paste an address

On the homepage hero or the Contracts page, enter a contract address (0x…), token symbol, or contract name. Only Ethereum mainnet is supported in the MVP.

Step 02

Analyze the contract

Click Analyze. If the contract is already indexed, you go straight to its page. If not, FreeBlock adds it to the database and starts an on-chain scan automatically.

Step 03

Review flags and AI summary

On the contract page, check the safety score (0–100), detected risk flags, ownership model, source verification, and the AI contract verdict.

Step 04

Use as research, not advice

FreeBlock surfaces on-chain signals to speed up due diligence. Always verify critical details independently before interacting with any contract.

03

Contract Page

Each indexed contract has a dedicated page at /contract/eth/0x…. While a scan runs, the page polls for updates until analysis completes.

  • Contract name and address on Ethereum
  • Verification status and source code preview
  • Safety score (0–100) and risk breakdown
  • Detected risk flags with explanations
  • Ownership: renounced, EOA, multisig, or timelock
  • Proxy / upgradeability indicators
  • AI contract verdict and explain blocks
  • Referenced contracts discovered during scan
  • Link to Etherscan and related token (if indexed)

Write functions are shown in read-only mode. FreeBlock does not provide wallet connect or transaction execution.

Safety Score Bands

High Safety

Score 80+. Fewer critical flags; still verify ownership and upgrade paths.

Medium

Score 60–79. Some elevated signals — review admin permissions carefully.

Low

Score 35–59. Multiple risk flags or centralization concerns.

Critical

Score below 35. Severe red flags — treat with extreme caution.

04

Risk Flags

During a scan, FreeBlock detects permission patterns in verified source and ABI — mint, pause, blacklist, proxy, upgrade hooks, and more. The full catalog with live occurrence stats lives on the Risk Flags page.

Mint

Contract can create additional tokens — supply is not fixed.

Pause

Privileged roles can halt transfers globally.

Blacklist

Specific wallets can be blocked from sending or receiving.

Owner rights

An admin or owner retains broad control over contract settings.

Proxy / Upgradeable

Logic can be replaced behind a proxy pattern.

Unverified source

Solidity source is not verified on Etherscan — analysis is limited.

05

Token Analysis

Soon

Token pages will provide ERC-20 forensics: price and liquidity (where available), holder distribution, linked contract analysis, and trading-risk signals.

  • Token name, symbol and contract link
  • Market data and liquidity depth
  • Holder concentration and whale exposure
  • Linked contract safety score
  • Trending and directory views
06

Wallet Profiling

Soon

Paste any wallet address to review activity history, token holdings, counterparties, and exposure to flagged contracts. This module is under development.

07

Risk Scanner

Soon

A dedicated scanner UI for ad-hoc address checks (separate from the contract directory flow) is planned. Today, use Analyze on the homepage or Contracts page for the same ingest-and-scan pipeline.
